How we research

Our guides draw on brand product information, published ingredient lists, and general guidance from dermatology organizations such as the American Academy of Dermatology. When a statement comes from a brand's marketing, we say so.

What we don't do

• We don't claim to have tested products unless we actually have.
• We don't invent ratings, testimonials, or statistics.
• We don't publish prices, because they change often; check the retailer.

Our content is educational and not a substitute for advice from a doctor or dermatologist.
