Are medicube Zero Pore Pads right for your skin type?

The Zero Pore Pad is built for people who want regular exfoliation, which makes it a better match for oily and combination skin than for dry or reactive skin. Here is how to think about it for each type.

Oily skin

Usually the best fit. BHA is oil-soluble and can help keep pores clear of excess sebum. Start slowly anyway; oily skin can still be irritated.

Combination skin

A good fit if you focus the textured side on the oily T-zone and use only the smooth side, or skip, on drier cheeks.

Acne-prone skin

Exfoliating acids are commonly used for blackheads and clogged pores. For inflamed or persistent acne, a dermatologist can recommend treatments that do more than a toner pad can. Avoid using pads over open or very inflamed spots.

Dry skin

Use with care. Exfoliation can make dryness and flaking worse. Try once or twice a week, smooth side only, followed by a rich moisturizer.

Sensitive skin, rosacea, or eczema

This is where caution matters most. Combining acids and texture is a lot for reactive skin. Patch test, and consider a gentler single-acid option from our alternatives list. If you have a diagnosed skin condition, ask your dermatologist before adding an exfoliant.

Medium and deep skin tones

Irritation can leave dark marks (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) that take longer to fade than the irritation itself. That makes a slow start and daily sunscreen especially worthwhile.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Guidance on salicylic acid during pregnancy varies by product type and strength. Check with your doctor or midwife before using any BHA product.

Allergies

Salicylic acid is chemically related to aspirin. If you are allergic to aspirin, check with a healthcare professional before using BHA products.
